GTSport Racing Heads to Laguna Seca
Marietta, GA - August 10, 2015 - Jack Baldwin and Buz McCall will close out the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge season this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with a one race shootout on Sunday, September 13.
Baldwin currently sits in third place of the GTS point standings with a shot at advancing. McCall also has a chance to advance in the standings as he is in 12th place overall amid tight competition. Both drivers have overcome major obstacles this season and refused to quit. Laguna Seca favors the nimble Porsche Cayman S and both drivers completed an open-wheel track event earlier this season to prepare them for this weekend's finale.
"It's hard to believe that our last race of the 2015 season is this weekend," said Baldwin. "It's been a very challenging season and we have had to fight hard all the way. Our team never gave up and we are heading into this race looking to end the season with a win. I love Laguna Seca and it should be a very good track for our Caymans so I can promise I'm going to get up on that wheel and get it done."
"The season has gone by in a flash," said McCall. "I've had a great time this season racing with some talented drivers in GTS and have posted my best times at each track. I am looking forward to racing at Laguna Seca and hopefully closing the season in the overall top-ten!"
The action begins with GTS Practice at 3:10 PM on Thursday, September 10. Friday, September 11 brings qualifying at 11:15 AM. Qualifying goes green at 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 12 and the final race of 2015 starts at 10:35 AM on Sunday, September 13.
